Challenges/Needs: When Mr. Modiakgotla approached Sedfa, the business was constrained by limited market access and a lack of formal food safety training, which restricted growth and posed compliance risks in the food production segment. To address these challenges, support was provided in developing marketing materials to improve brand visibility and delivering food safety training for compliance. Trade facilitation to access broader markets, as well as funding facilitation for business expansion. Ongoing mentorship and capacity-building were also identified as essential to strengthen operations, enhance compliance, and ensure long-term sustainability.
