In 2015, Marguerite van der Merwe identified a gap in the market for a high-quality, lightweight, durable, and easy-to-clean picnic blanket. Through her research, she discovered that the type of picnic blankets she envisioned were not available. She aimed to create something unique and attractive, with multiple uses.
Since its inception, the business has expanded its product range to include lunch bags, wine bags, picnic cooler bags, water cooler bags, camping tablecloths, golf towels, and fleece blankets. It also manufactures custom-made corporate gifts for companies seeking original and durable presents for employees and clients.
In 2022, the business began printing its own fabric, allowing it to create bespoke designs. That same year, Marguerite had the opportunity to attend the Maison & Objet Trade Exhibition in Paris, France, which provided excellent exposure to the international market. The business is based in George.
