Business Dynamics and Challenges

Business Activities: The company originally began as a small styling service for private clients, later expanding into a baby clothing brand and fabric sales. In 2021, Ms. Tuswa identified a growing demand for high‑quality textiles and began selling fabric directly from her vehicle and home, steadily building a loyal customer base. Over time, the business evolved into a fully‑fledged manufacturing operation specialising in work suits, PPE, and textile products for various businesses across South Africa. Ms. Tuswa’s background in Fashion Design and Small Business Management, obtained at Style Design College in Durban, laid a strong foundation for building the company. Coming from a disadvantaged background, she carried the vision of creating a sustainable business that could uplift both herself and her community.
Challenges/Needs: The company faced a challenge of not having adequate and professional packaging for its product and therefore struggles to present a professional and well rounded off product, that could attract other clients just by laying eyes on its product, thereby penetrating the market and establishing a footprint.
