The business is based in Witbank, under the Emalahleni Local Municipality, and operates from a commercially leased property in the Witbank CBD. In addition, the enterprise rents a satellite storage facility for the safekeeping of its stock.

The business required funding to finance its expansion and establish a second branch in Nelspruit to service the greater Lowveld region. However, it lacked a concise and bankable
business plan to support its funding application.

Sedfa supported the business by facilitating the development of a comprehensive and bankable business plan. The completed business plan was then used to support a funding application, which was referred to the National Empowerment
Fund (NEF).

Outcome Details:
Following Sedfa’s intervention, the business achieved the following outcomes:
• Sales revenue increased from R4 196 882.80 (at the assessment
date) to R4 802 096.80 (at the improvement assessment date).
• Net profit increased from R110 517.00 (at the assessment date)
to R413 628.00 (at the improvement assessment date).
• The business successfully sustained its staff complement of 11
employees, consistent with the previous improvement
assessment.
