Khanyie’s Kitchen is a fully-fledged Catering company offering décor services, Catering and hiring out of catering and deco equipment while running a restaurant on a daily basis.
Challenges/Needs:
An assessment conducted by Sedfa identified the following challenges faced by the business :
• Lack of access to market;
• The mobile fridge and the mobile kitchen were not branded in order to play an important role of marketing the business as and when the equipment has been hired out
• There was no signage on the premises in which the business was operating from.

Intervention Details:
The following interventions were implemented to address the challenges faced by the business.
• Branding of the mobile fridge and the mobile kitchen clearly showing the businesse’s logo and contact details and social media pages where customers could find the business profile with services offered
• Signage was installed on the premises where the business is operating from

Outcome Details:
The following outcome was achieved by the business as a result of sedfa intervention
• Revenue increased by R 2700 from R237 000,00 TO r 264 000,00 reflecting a 31,06% increae
• The number of employees was sustained at 1 employee,no jobs were created
• The profit decreased by R35 750,00 from R54 050,00 to R18 300,00 reflecting a (66,14%) decrease
