Business Dynamics and Challenges
Business Activities:
Ezimnandi Poultry Farming Enterprise is a wholly black women- and youth-owned business based in Klipfontein, under the Emalahleni Local Municipality. The business is led by Ms. Khanyisile Tryphina Matshiga, the founding director, and employs Thabiso Vumani Sibiya to support operations.
The business operates as a hatchery, incubating fertile eggs for 21 days until hatching. Day-old chicks are sold to small-scale subsistence farmers in and around Emalahleni, while others are brooded and sold as live chickens or processed for slaughter, generating higher profitability.
